Is achieving TV's visual effects worth on-set accidents like what happened to Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor during the filming of a XWP episode in which "all the [indoor] water scenes [most of the episode] were shot in a [huge] water tank"?

(The 5-million gallon water tank "unexpectedly split open, mashing Lucy and Renee against a fence." (Source Quoted: Oxygen Network, 1/1/01.))

Overall, people do think such risk is worthwhile for entertaining the masses -- I'm surprised because I tend to be a safety nerd but it's good to know that valiant behind-the-scenes efforts aren't wasted. And stars doing their own stunts is better than our glimpsing mustached faces in otherwise kick-butt Callisto stunts...
